i think you can usually watch the newest episodes on the website of the tv network that airs himym wherever you live. I'm from Canada, so i can watch it on citytv, but i can only watch episodes from the current season. if you want to watch older episodes, you'll have to buy the dvd, or use a site like let me watch this.
